Contact Lead Junior Advisor Chrissy Driggers at: 912-657-6605 for more details.     Past Events The GSSA Annual Meeting was held on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at the State FFA Camp in Covington, GA. The highlights of the meeting was the announcement of the 2007 Slate of GSSA Officers. They are as follows: (Left to Right, seated) Bill Atkinson, Billy Moss, Gail Hilley, Chrissy Driggers; (Left to right, Standing) Burt Jeffords, Beman Boatright, Rick Wood, Andy Clary, Larry Rodgers & Mike Crowder. (Not pictured is Vice President Ray James.)   2006 Golden Book Award Winner's were Mr. & Mrs. Buddy Fordham of Cochran, GA. Buddy has been a long time breeder of performance Simmental Cattle. Regina Holiday of Dublin, GA was the 2006 Recipient of the Lindy Davis Memorial Scholarship Award. Regina is a freshman at ABAC. Lead GJSA Junior Advisor, Chrissy Driggers gives an update on the progress of fund raising for the 2007 Eastern Regional Classic. GSSA President Billy Moss gives the keynote address and served as master of ceremonies for the meeting. Pine Ridge Simmentals -  Valdosta, GA Open House Pine Ridge Simmentals Open House - November 2, 2006- Valdosta, GA. Mr. Larry Rodgers, Owner welcomes the crowd and recognizes special guests that are present. Dr. Jim Strickland, President of the Georgia Cattlemen's Association addresses the crowd at the Pine Ridge Simmentals Open House. American Simmental Association Director of Field Operations, Mr. Marty Ropp addressed the crowd at the Pine Ridge Simmentals Open House.   Mr. Larry Rodgers visits with Mr. Frank Bell, Simmental Breeder from Hampton, N. C. visits with Larry Rodgers, owner of Pine Ridge Simmentals. Larry has purchased several outstanding females and bulls from Bell Farms.
